Principal's Message

Welcome to our wonderful school.

Bacchus Marsh Primary School No 28, is Victoria's first State School and has a proud and wonderful history of providing quality education to the township of Bacchus Marsh and surrounding districts.

We have always been an important part of the Bacchus Marsh community and continue to be a school central to community needs through the learning and living of our values- Respect, Kindness, Learning, Teamwork and Integrity. Our motto, ‘Consider Others’ is walked and talked on a daily basis and we pride ourselves on providing a caring, stimulating environment for all students, staff and families at our school.

The primary focus of our care and decision making is always driven by a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people.

We model zero tolerance for child abuse, ensure student voices are heard regarding decisions that affect their lives and we pay particular attention to the cultural safety of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and those from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds, as well as the safety and inclusion of children with a disability.

We encourage every person engaged in our school community to take responsibility to understand the important and specific role they play individually and collectively to ensure that the learning, wellbeing and safety of our children and young people and the culture of our school is at the forefront of all they do and say.

We welcome visitors at any time and encourage you to come and ‘feel’ what we can’t always put into words.

The special something that makes BMPS the school that we are so very proud of.
