In the first week of August we have completed the House Spelling Finals across all of our classes. It was great to see our students apply their knowledge of spelling/word study in such a public forum with a live audience or via a Webex link to their families.

The House Spelling shield has been won by Merrimu in 2022. The class with the highest number of points based on the words spelled correctly in their own class Spelling Bees was Miss Walker’s Year 1W class with 357 words spelled correctly and they have earned a special class celebration. The highest scoring year level in the 2022 Spelling Bee was Grade 2 with a total of 1791 words spelled correctly.
